Lipstick revolution
Until recently I'd never worn lipstick. I would admire women on
the street with red lips, write about the right lip shade instantly
updating your look and tentatively test new season colours only to
immediately wipe them off again. Whatever the shade, I felt painted
lips were too attention-grabbing, too 'shouty' compared to soft,
smoky eyes. But all it took was a bit of getting used to (ie. one
night out) and a single compliment ('great lip-colour') to
permanently overcome my bright lip block. Coral is the perfect end
of summer shade as it makes the most of sun kissed skin, try the
above Dolce and Gabbana in Cosmopolitan, £20 (at Harrods) - use a
finger to blot down the colour for an of-the-moment, slightly matt
finish.
