While the eerie painting The Scream is a truly iconic image (it's recent record-breaking price at auction is testimony of how desirable a work of art it still is), others by Norwegian painter Edvard Munch are much less well known. This major exhibition at Tate Britain is a rare opportunity to change that as well as get inside the mind of the artist at a time when painting was being challenged by a new art form, photography. Unmissable.
