A contemporary take on the Victorian tradition of cultivating outdoor spaces for entertainment, these new pleasure gardens are something we've been looking forward to for eons. Rising from former Docklands wastelands like a phoenix from the flames, the gardens are a three-year project that will host an eclectic mix of pop-up events from restaurants and hotels to live shows including concerts and comedy, alongside permanent attractions including sculpture gardens and an art and design trail. The opening weekend sees a mini festival of events, with fireworks, live bands and street art. Go and explore!
