Belgian industrialists Armand Desaegher, a casting specialist, and Octave Aubecq, an enamel specialist, joined forces in 1925 to create a porcelain enamelled cast iron pot, which became the first Le Creuset dish. Now one of the most famous ranges of products in the culinary world, the dishes and pots come in all shapes and sizes and colours - the most popular of which is Volcanic Orange.
