The quintessentially British textile was established with the London store in 1875 by Arthur Lasenby Liberty. Clothing and home furnishings in the shop were largely covered in the Liberty prints and the patterns quickly became the height of fashion. New prints are continually being produced, either by Liberty's in house stylists or by collaborations with other designers.
