Riedel Wine Glasses

The Riedel family glass factory was opened in 1760 in Bohemia (today the Czech Republic and Poland) and 11 generations have kept the family business intact. It was the ninth generation Claus J Riedel who decided to change the traditional coloured, cut glass into the plain, thin-blown, long-stemmed wine glass that we know today, and to design the shape according to the character of the wine.
