This photo of my father is from the late 1960s. With the exception of now having less hair, he still looks exactly the same, and is still the life and soul of the party. Even nearing 70, Isä (that's the Finnish word for "dad") continues to be a marathon runner extraordinaire, sly humourist and - as this picture demonstrates - always unapolegetically himself. He drives his children crazy, but we love him dearly and he's taught us so many things, from how to drive ("Drive as I say, not as I do," he wisely instructed) to not taking sh*t (his words, not mine) from anybody and making us aware of the wider world from a young age. Kiitos, Isä! Minä rakastan sinua. (Thanks, Dad! I love you.)
