Why go?A New York import nestled below London's all-out swish W Hotel, this decidedly grown-up and glamorous restaurant demands you slink into one of their elegant chairs, sip a cleverly-crafted cocktail and tour what seems to be almost the whole of Asia via your dinner plate. It's the perfect place for cosy couples (plenty around on our visit) or a good old-fashioned girly get together.
What we drankWe recommend arriving early, sliding up to the bar and ordering a Ginger Margarita - just the right amount of sour, sweet, salty and boozy. The wasabi popcorn is also worth a nibble.
What we ateFrom sushi to curries, Thai salads and Chinese dumplings - your Asian wish is their command. Order plenty of small plates and nibble to your heart's content. Highlights included a salmon sashimi with warm crunchy rice, chipotle emulsion and spring onion - and grilled rib eye with bok choi, garlic and sesame. Crab dumplings are also worth ordering and don't forget to save room for dessert. The Kaffir lime cheesecake with mandarin sorbet and braised pineapple was quite possibly one of the best cheesecakes we've had. Ever.
Why EL lovesKiller cocktails, more-ish Asian plates and American-style service with a smile. We'll go to Market anytime...
