A Gold Medal... For Art?

That's right. The 1912 games in Sweden were the first to have art competitions (sadly, the tradition ended in 1948). Only two contenders ever won medals in both sport and art: American-born, English-dwelling Walter Winans (for shooting and sculpture) and Hungarian Alfred Hajos, who won for swimming and architecture, for his stadium design. Amazing.
