Go beyond wallpaper. The modern way to make a feature wall is with a clever collection. Plates in particular have become a popular choice, and we've fallen hard for the English eccentric designs of Lou Rota.
After purchasing a collection of vintage plates at a car-boot sale on a whim, Lou decorated them for fun, and her friends were soon clamouring for more designs. Self-described as "not really a ceramicist, more a graphic artist who uses ceramics", Lou sources vintage bone china plates originally handmade in Stoke-on-Trent, then upcycles them to add birds, bugs and floral motifs. Along with decorative plates, Lou also makes dishwasher friendly tableware. Talk about delicious dishes...
