Opened in 1990 by former flower shop owner Annabel Lewis, V V Roleaux soon became the go-to place for fashion editors and interior designers who needed something special to add that finishing touch.
And something special it is… the ribbon shop now has two locations (in London's Sloane Square and Marylebone, as well as department store concessions nationwide) and is a wonderland of French taffeta and Japanese organdies, beautiful buttons and velvet trimmings. You'll find everyone there from brides to impoverished students, stylists to craft fans, all looking (and most often finding) a beautiful object or trimming to transform something basic into something beautiful.
Spring has now sprung in the shop, and we couldn't help but share a little sneak peek. If you can't make it there in person, browse their wonderful website. It really is like going to another world…
