I'd describe my style as: Comfortable, colourful, experimental.
Biggest inspiration for my home: The Gallery of Antique Costume and Textiles, where I used to work. And Antwerp in Belgium for the gorgeous murky colours of their interiors and the fantastic antique shops.

Four things on my interiors wish list:
- The girls want carpet in their bedroom rather than wood - they go to their friends' houses and you can't get them off the floor!
- New wallpaper for the girls' bedroom; I've seen some gorgeous designs in Sweden, or I'd like to try and stencil or paint something by hand.
- We have huge cupboards which I'd like to convert into small rooms.
- A new shower room off our bedroom with jewel coloured tiles.

My style icon: Dries Van Noten. He doesn't design homeware but the shapes and colours of his clothes influence me hugely.
If my house was burning I'd save: The collection of vintage and antique dresses I've had since I was 15. I am not particularly precious about them (I wear them all) but I couldn't bear losing them, they are irreplaceable.

My latest obsession: Wreaths - anything circular is very appealing at the moment. We associate them with Christmas in the UK but in Sweden they have wreaths all year around.
I collect: Peter Thomas pottery. I get a piece every Christmas.

My first home was:A flat on the coast in Berwick upon Tweed, Northumberland. It was very different to this, very white.
I love Belsize Park because: Everything is so local. Belsize Village is hidden away; the same shops have been there for years and they're fantastic. I love all the nearby parks as well.

My five favourite shops are:
- Dries Van Noten, Antwerp, Belgium
- Huis a Boon, Antwerp, Belgium - A traditional glove shop where they take your measurements and handmake all the gloves.
- Treasure Chest, an antiques shop in Berwick upon Tweed.
- Pop Boutique, Monmouth Street, Covent Garden
- Miller Harris on Monmouth Street, Covent Garden. The whole street has a lovely, old world feel.

Personal motto:Just do it! People are so fearful when it comes to decorating, just slap on the paint and experiment; nothing is permanent.
