Balsamic strawberries

  • Hull and halve the strawberries and place them in a bowl.
  • Sprinkle with the caster sugar and balsamic vinegar and gently mix.
  • Set aside to marinate for 30-60 minutes. Taste and add a little extra vinegar if desired.
  • Sprinkle with the roughly chopped fresh mint. Serve the strawberries and any juice with vanilla ice cream.
