Spiced cabbage

  • Shred the cabbage into thin slices. Heat the oil in a large saucepan or deep frying pan over a medium heat. Add the bacon, garlic and chilli and sauté for 3 minutes (don't let the garlic burn). Add the sliced cabbage and stir-fry for about 4 minutes, or until softened.
  • Add 3tbsp water to the pan and put on the lid. Reduce the heat a little and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until softened, but still with a slight crunch. Season to taste.
